ANSWER

 

Annually, the Brown Deer Recycling Center collects 960-980 tons of co-mingled recyclables (paper, cans, glass, plastic, aluminum), 650-750 gallons of motor oil, and 660-780 tons of yardwaste. 

The Recycling Center is located at 8717 North 43rd Street (just south of the North Shore Fire Department).

Hours of Operation:
December - March 31st:

  • Saturdays 10am - 5:50pm

April - November 30th:

  • Tuesdays Noon - 7:50pm
  • Thursdays Noon - 7:50pm
  • Saturdays 10 am - 5:50pm

During times of adverse weather the Recycling Center may close early. When placing materials at the Recycling Center, please follow the Attendant's directions. DO NOT leave materials at the Recycling Center during closed hours.


Answer) A. 970 tons of co-mingled recyclables were collected by the Village Recycling Center in 2010.
